The Klimapolis Laboratory will network researchers and activities from several German and Brazilian institutions. German partners bring a unique combination of expertise in global and regional climate modelling, air quality analysis and prediction, impact assessment and governance that will increase the visibility of the German scientific excellence in Latin America and, in particular, in Brazil. Institutions in Brazil are covering the aspects of climate and air quality modelling, urban planning and design, governance, and vulnerabilities due to weather extremes.
